On August 14, Maryam Nawaz decides to begin distributing people free solar panels.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the head of state of Punjab, has decided to start giving out solar panels on the day of independence.

 



Commencing on August 14, residents who use up to 200 watts will be eligible for free solar panels. By paying 10% of the total cost, customers who use over 200 and as many as 500 watts will obtain solar panels.


Similarly, the Punjab government will pay 90% of the cost for individuals using up to 500 units of electricity; repayment is interest-free and takes place over a five-year period. Banks will supply the solar panels.
The Punjab government has completed all the details of the solar panel supply program, which is anticipated to result in a 40% reduction in the public's electricity expenditures.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the chief minister of Punjab, said that her aim is to provide relief to the masses in relation to this project. Although she acknowledged the difficult situation, she reaffirmed the government's resolve to support the populace.
